mini sessions 1 :: twin cities child photography

Thanks to everybody who came out for our mini-sessions on Sunday! Despite the forecast of thunderstorms, we had a beautiful overcast fall day – a photographer’s dream! I’m SO glad we didn’t have to reschedule again – last week was rained out and I didn’t want to have to postpone again. It was so good to see all of you – some repeat clients, and some brand new!

I am challenging myself to post one session here every day this week, so stay tuned for your images here, everybody’s will be up soon.

My first session was with these three beautiful blonds. They each picked out their own outfits – I love how each of them has their own unique style – LOVE IT! They taught me all about American Girl dolls – somehow my 5 year old daughter hasn’t been awakened to this phenomenon yet… Littlest [M] here was such a sprite – her faces crack me up!!! Thanks for coming out!

momma’s bump :: white bear lake maternity photographer

So some of you might know that I’ve been taken out with an eye injury this past week – my sweet little babe got me right in the eye, and ripped my cornea. So it’s been an up and down week, with lots of doctor visits, a dilated eye, and bouts of pain and infection. But I think I’m on the mend right now, thanks to my bandage contact lens and lots of eyedrops.

I had a wonderful maternity and family session recently with this beautiful family, but due to my eye, I haven’t been able to post any pictures yet. So sorry! Now that I’m feeling better, I just had to share some photos. This family lives in an amazing old house in White Bear Lake, and they’ve been so busy restoring and remodeling to prepare it for the White Bear Lake Historic Home Tour. Let me tell you, their house is absolutely stunning. And this momma – just gorgeous. She had the most amazing connection with her little girl – they were so sweet together. This was one of those shoots that just makes me feel good about the world – such a lovely, loving, beautiful family. Thank you for having me over!

Sara - These are perfect, Gwen! You really captured the tenderness and excitement of an expecting family. Great B&W conversions by the way!
