perfect :: minneapolis newborn photographer

Here is my beautiful, sweet, perfect little newborn nephew. He might very well be the last babe between my brother and me (we’ve got 6 cousins in all now!!!), so we’re all just gobbling him up. And with good reason. He’s just scrumptious. Enjoy.

Dorothy - All these pictures are great – as usual! You are so good at this. On a cold winter day – or one any day – it gladdens the heart just to come and see these little angels. Keep it up!

Here are some photos of the very newest addition to our family – my nephew [W]. He actually has the very coolest name, but I try not to share anyone’s name on here, just faces. I was supposed to photograph his birth, but he snuck up last minute and had to be delivered by an emergency C-section. He has had a few roadblocks in his first two weeks of life, but is healthy and thriving now.

I haven’t gotten to have a proper newborn session with him yet, because between our two families there hasn’t been a moment of good health since he’s been home in the last week. I’m hoping to get my hands on him in the next couple days and I’ll be sure to post some photos. For now, here are some photos from the first few hours in the hospital. He went to the special care nursery shortly after birth, but I was able to sneak in some photos before then. Wasn’t able to get him buck naked since he had some problems keeping his temperature up, but I grabbed some photos of him getting dressed in his first outfit! He’s just a teeny peanut here, at 5lbs 14 oz. Pure sweetness.

Lisa - Gwen, The shot of your nephew with the long sleeves is wonderful! I love those curling sleeves and the amazing face.

at the library :: minneapolis lifestyle photographer

Yes, I’m still alive. It’s just that 2009 has kicked me pretty hard. I’m now on the mend from an upper respiratory infection, thanks to an arsenel of drugs. Still have a pretty sexy voice, but at least it’s somewhat audible now, more than a whisper. I’ve also been blessed with two migraines, each lasting 3 days – that puts me at 9 days up and 10 days down for the month of January. I guess it can only get better from here, right?

These photos were from my last session of 2008 – this family was here visiting from St. Louis and was gifted this photo session from her grandmother. How cool is that!

We met at the Minneapolis Central Library, which is filled with wonderful natural light – and such a fun place for the kids! Thanks so much for a fun session!

Sara - Gwen, I’m so glad to hear you are alive! I love these shots, especially the one where the little boy’s eyelashes are accentuated. They are just beautiful. I’m glad you are feeling better-can’t wait to see more work!
