Your child has a light inside of him or her that shines every day. At times it’s a subtle flicker – a long quiet rainy afternoon reading books on the sofa. It glows steadily in the evenings before bed, after a bath, a cozy flame of sleepy contentment. On special occasions it’s burning hot and bright: eating birthday cake, tearing open presents, running in freedom on the last day of school.
It’s a light you love like no other. Sometimes a photograph captures it, by accident, perhaps, and you see your child’s true personality glowing – a familiar and beloved expression. A sneaky smile. A full-bodied giggle. A pensive tilt of the head.
Capturing your child’s light in a contemporary, fresh family portrait is what I do. Before taking any photos, I meet both you and your kids at your home, becoming acquainted with everyone and answering any questions you have. Then we go on location to a place of your choice, and using only natural light and following the whimsical angles and activities your child chooses, we’ll have a photo session disguised as a playdate. After the photo session, I return to your home and help you select images and presentation options that fit your style – canvas wall displays, photo albums, and archival prints, to name a few.
An experience that lets everyone relax, be themselves, and have fun.
